St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2016 in Chicago on March 12th
Break out your best green bling and grab your sweetie cause the parade is coming to town! St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and the Shamrock celebration is getting ready to kick off again for another spectacular Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade at noon on Saturday, March 12th, 2016! This year’s Theme is “Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Easter Rising” and is set to be an unforgettable ensemble of Irish bagpipe bands, great throws, Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner and Erin Mulcahy as our 2016 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade Queen! There will be River Dyeing and much more that you don’t want to miss that will fill this oh-la-la event for all parade goers.
Here is a list of helpful information that will make your parade day much smoother:
9 am - The Chicago River is dyed the day of the Parade and the best place to see witness this cool event is at the intersection of Michigan Avenue, Wacker Drive and the river.
12 pm - The Parade route begins at the corner of Columbus Drive and Balbo then continues North to Monroe.
Parking near Randolph places you between the river dyeing and the parade route.
For Handicapped parking needs, there is the underground parking below Grant Park.
