Chicago Events & News - Rock Band AC/DC at United Center in Concert

Are you ready for a good time? Legendary rock band AC/DC will play Chicago’s United Center, 1901 W. Madison St., Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, on their Rock or Bust World Tour. The Aussie band is coming off a banner year with the release of their best-selling 16th studio album. They’ve weathered some storms too like founding member Malcolm Young having to step away from the band due to a chronic illness. His brother Angus, on lead guitar, and lead vocalist Brian Johnson continue to helm the ship, along with guitarist Stevie Young, Cliff Williams on bass and drummer Chris Slade. Fans at their Chicago show are sure to be treated to classics like “Highway to Hell,” “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and “Back in Black.”

Tickets for the concert are on sale through Ticketmaster, and are $95–$140. United Center is less than a 15-minute drive from Best Western Grant Park. There is parking right around the arena, but be aware of some construction in the area that could cause traffic delays. Parking costs $22-$40, and you can pay a bit less if you make your parking reservations in advance via Ticketmaster instead of paying cash the day of the concert. From the hotel, you can also take CTA buses 4 Cottage Grove and 20 Madison, or the L train Red Line to the 20 bus. Check out the AC/DC website and rock on!
