Currently (August 2019) undergoing ...

Currently (August 2019) undergoing a major renovation, this hotel is looking ahead to greater days. If you are fortunate enough to get a park view or lakeview room, wonderful views await. All major amenities in or near the hotel. Walk to major attractions in Chicago, including the museum campus, soldier field, millennium Park, the art institute and of course the Michigan Avenue. Great place with wonderful service.

This was a planned ...

This was a planned trip with my young grandson and I was certain that I saw on one of my searches that there was a pool on the 3rd floor. I was informed upon arrival that they haven't had one in 5 years. I would have accepted that as just some confusion on my part but another guest said he had seen the same information. The website mentioned that The hotel was undergoing some remodeling. Half the lobby was blocked off for the work being done. The hall carpets were very worn. Our room didn't have a fridge or microwave - kind of standard equipment these days. We brought snacks and drinks but had to keep them in our cooler and replenish the ice daily. Ice machine was not on our floor. The information about the on site restaurant was a little misleading. The hours of operation were short. It is also undergoing some remodeling and was very noisy during breakfast on our day of departure. On the plus side - the hotel is across the street from Grant Park and close to Buckingham Fountain. A variety of restaurants are within a 10 minute walk in any direction and there's a Trader Joes on the next block. I valet parked the car and didn't need to use it for 2 days.

Staff was welcoming & ...

Staff was welcoming & friendly.$52 a night to park.FREE WiFi.Good location in downtown Chicago.Easy access to Navy Pier within walking distance to Shedd’s Aquarium.Bed was comfortable.My rating 3/3 stars.
