Located in Chicago's Grant Park, the Art Institute of Chicago is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the country. Check out The Deering Family Galleries of Medieval and Renaissance Art, Arms, and Armor for an up-close look at life from the Middle Ages. Visit the famed collection of 20th-century art including 30 pieces by the iconic French Impressionist, Claude Monet.

  • Where is the Art Institute of Chicago located?

    The Art Institute of Chicago is located in downtown Chicago’s Grant Park and offers two entrances, one at 111 S. Michigan Avenue and one at the Modern Wing at 159 East Monroe Street. It is easily accessible via CTA buses, EL trains, and the Metra commuter rail. It is just a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk up S. Michigan from the Best Western Grant Park Hotel.
