Fair hotel on the ...

Fair hotel on the border of downtown Chicago, close to Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum. Rooms are kind of cramped and the breakfast is coffee and a small snack. Overall worth for the price.

The price can’t be ...

The price can’t be beat. The location is great and in a safe area. We had four women in our group and felt totally safe walking to and from bars late at night. The hotel is walking distance to Soldier Field, 20 to Millennium Park, and only 4 min to the Roosevelt CTA entrance. It’s semi attached to an amazing (but pricey) bakery who also provides pastries for the continental breakfast in the lobby. The room was nice and clean, and the bed was really comfortable but they only provided four insanely thin pillows for our king so we had to request extra the next night. Only two major downsides to our stay, first, only one elevator worked and it was SLOW and constantly full. We had to take the stairs (floor 5) most times because we couldn’t fit in the elevator or it would take 10+ min. That particularly sucked with luggage when we checked out. The second issue, our AC unit wouldn’t stay on, it stayed on an auto setting which normally is fine but the unit is SO LOUD. You can’t hear the tv or your phone even at full volume, it’s that loud. As soon as we fell asleep it would turn on and wake us right back up. If it just stayed on running we’d be able to get used to it as white noise but it would turn off and on all night. If we visit again for another game at Soldier Field, we’d definitely stay here. If we were visiting for other reasons though, we’d probably consider elsewhere closer to the river.
