We chose this hotel for the location. I regret just not staying at the Hilton. They tried very heavily to pressure us into using their valet service. Which we declined multiple times. They also won’t validate parking. Sheets and bedding were clean, bathroom was clean but not taken care of. The toilet handle gets stuck and constantly runs. There were cracks in the shower.

I give this a 3 star because hallways smell very musty and room valet only allows you to park till 11pm.... for $52.00/ night there should be 24/7 valet

Certainly not the newest or the best, but it is safe, comfortable and in a great location. There were some areas of carpet in hallways that were unraveling and our room had a broken towel rack that was "repaired" with clear packing tape. Mostly cosmetic/age related defects. The walls are thin. Rooms have heavy doors so you hear them slam a lot. Teens in room next door were up and talking around 3 AM which wasn't fun. I can't say they were obnoxiously loud but could be easily heard through the adjoining wall. The A/C unit was great and almost was too cold. Showers were hot with a lot of pressure. The bed was comfortable but it would be nice to have bigger pillows. Plenty of space in the room and great lighting. When booking, we liked parking was available. But it was sold out upon checking in. We had to park a block away in a garage but it turned out to be cheaper than the $52 per day rate for the hotel garage. The best thing about the place is location. Easily walkable to the parks and museums as well as a 20ish minute walk to soldier field. Bus and train transport is readily accessible getting you anywhere in the city you want to go. And there are many good dining options. We did not try the restaurant attached to the hotel (they give a $10 breakfast voucher there) nor the Paris Baguette bakery (which offered a discount with room key).
