I stayed solo for ...

I stayed solo for a week to explore the city. Perfect location with multiple sights within walking distance. Public transportation immediately in front of hotel. Front desk staff were friendly and engaged with me each day about my activities. Grocery one block away. My room was attractive and clean. Shower handle broke day before my departure and I heard another guest complain about the same thing. Not fancy but comfortable and I felt safe.

Let me just preface ...

Let me just preface with saying that i used my hotel points to pay for the room, so i didnt have to worry about paying. If i did have to pay though it would probably be 3 stars. Hotel has a great location and kind staff. The room I stayed in was simple and no frills, which is fine, but some of the anemities could use updating and better maintenance. Room didnt have a fridge and the bathtub drain is clogged and filled up with water whenever I took a shower. The absolutely worst thing was the bed, which was a very uncomfortable spring matress that probably hasnt been changed in like 10+ years. I travel a lot for work and pride myself in being able to sleep anywhere, but this was probably the most uncomfortable hotel bed i've slept on in awhile. I hope they can update their rooms soon because if i were paying some of the rates people on here paid for rooms, this would be unacceptable.
